With no access to their energy anymore, checking their social media can be an innocent way of trying to stay connected while you’re still grieving.

Sometimes access to someone is denied suddenly, and you are left with nothing but memories of knowing them intensely in your body. Sometimes it’s you who ends it, with a deep attachment for them in your heart still.

You can end a connection with words and actions, but ending it energetically is not so clean and quick.

Especially, if you are still viewing their profile, you keep delaying the process of dissolving that energetic cord between the two of you. When you keep checking what they’re up to, you’re still energetically bound to them, chasing them.

Sometimes you watch because you want to feel close to them still. Even though the mind knows that it’s over, the body takes time to adjust. The body still craves them, their energy and the way they made you feel. So, you try to find ways to stay close to them, to feel connected to them, even if it’s one-sided. This hit of closeness you feel is not real, but it’s the only way to manage the craving.
